Chic Society | Saturday, October 22, 2011
Join Fashion Fix as we aim to raise awareness for homelessness in DC, particularly by raising funds through our fashion show for Calvary Women’s Services, a homeless shelter in DC that not only provides women with a safe place to stay for the night, but also enables them with the skills to achieve a more promising future. Calvary, a vital community asset, needs funding to expand their services, and all donations raised from now until December will be matched!
The evening is a great way to say goodbye to summer and usher in fall with good spirits. We will be debuting two new designers (Lizzi London and Eunjeong Joo) to the DC fashion scene, as well as showcasing DC’s staple designer, Zophia. Click here to learn more about our designers.
The evening kicks off promptly at 6PM, at L2 Lounge in Georgetown and the show will start at 8PM.
Why Chic Society? Not to answer a question with a question, but what could be more chic than giving for a good cause? Twenty-something’s have long held the perception that they just don’t give. The DC charity scene has never been targeted towards twenty-somethings precisely for that reason. Fashion Fix aims to challenge this stereotype, by proving that we can fill our events full of twenty-somethings, who not only love to give, but they are also one of DC’s most discerning residences. We are cultivating a population of philanthropic givers, who are chic and young.
